OUDS Cuppers is an exciting, frenzied drama festival run by OUDS exclusively for Freshers, and judged by a wide spectrum of OUDS members. Your college OUDS Reps will make themselves known to you during Freshers' week, and will encourage groups of you to get together to prepare a short play and put it on at the Burton-Taylor in 7th week.
We see Cuppers as the best possible introduction to Oxford drama because you get so much encouragement and support. Cuppers also introduces OUDS as the umbrella society for all dramatic endeavour in the university with judges not only from OUDS but from the ETC, the Oxford Revue and most college drama societies, and as a focal point for advice and involvement in oxford drama.
The Cuppers week is the most exciting week of Michaelmas 2007 for OUDS. There are shows throughout the week at the BT, with feedback from the judges every evening, and the ten best shows will be invited back to perform at &#quot;Best of Cuppers 2007" on Saturday 24th November!

Key Information
Shows can be up to 30 minutes long.
As well as the entire OUDS committee, two technical advisors will be on board from TAFF to provide complete technical support.
Devised, physical theatre, new-writing, Shakespeare, extracts, and complete plays are all eligible for production!
Any number of shows are allowed by OUDS per college.
Any size of cast from monologues to ensembles.
Support available throughout from the OUDS committee itself and from College Drama reps, with feedback sessions at the end of each day.
We will send out information and contact details to all Freshers interested. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you've got any questions about acting/directing/designing/producing, etc…
Awards for Best Production, Director, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor and Actress, Ensemble Cast, Marketing, New Writing, Design, Technician, and Experimental Theatre will be awarded.
