Welcome to OUDS
From OUDS
Dear All,
The end of term's not quite upon us yet, but this year you might find you have slightly more stuff to pack up and take home! Ever wanted to dress up as a knight of the realm? A medieval princess, or maybe a monk? Take your pick, because:
The OUDS Costume Sale is taking place on FRIDAY of 8TH WEEK between 11AM and 1.30PM (just before the AGM), giving us a chance to sell off all the costume we just couldn't stuff into the new wardrobe. So come down to the OLD OBSERVATORY (where the old wardrobe used to be), make us an offer and you could find yourself walking away with a bargain or five. Remember most of the stuff we have is from old RSC productions and the like, so don't miss out on a fantastic deal!
Plans for the OUDS 125th Anniversary Gala are in full swing and the list of enthusiastic alumni attending is growing every day, matched only by the large number of students involved. On Sunday 13th June we will be holding a day of Chaired Debates with professional alumni discussing the state of British theatre, film and television followed by a one night spectacular at the Playhouse, showcasing the best of Oxford Drama past and present and hosted by Diana Quick. We have some incredibly established people coming (and some performing) including Christopher Hampton (writer), Patrick Marber (writer), Katherine Parkinson (comedian), Imogen Stubbs (actress),Tessa Ross (Head of Film4), Polly Findlay (director) et al and this day is not to be missed.
