Wardrobe
As the biggest student drama wardrobe in the country, the OUDS wardrobe is a fantastic resource for anybody involved in Oxford drama. It has thousands of items for hire ranging from a vast amount of ex-RSC medieval costume to a large modern selection, along with items from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. All items are available to hire for between £1-5 per week, along with a deposit. Unfortunately, CHEQUES are the ONLY acceptable method of payment. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CHEQUEBOOK, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HIRE COSTUMES.
During term, the wardrobe is open at the following times. Please arrive FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING or we will not have the time to serve you.
- Tuesday – 1pm to 2pm
- Thursday – 1pm to 2pm
Location
The OUDS Wardrobe has recently moved to Keble Crypt, and we are delighted to announce its re-opening.
The Crypt is located in Keble Chapel; after entering, go through the large wooden door on the left. Directions are also available from the Keble Porters.
Please respect the Chapel when entering and leaving the Wardrobe by making as little noise as possible.
Costume Group
Interested in costume? Signed up at the Fresher's Fair but not sure where to go from there? Maybe you've been in Oxford for a while already and never really got involved.
If so, now's your chance. The wardrobe team are in the process of creating a costume group as a source of help, advice and support for all those wanting to get involved. If you think it's something you'd be interested in joining, please email wardrobe@ouds.org
Hiring costumes
Please note that CHEQUES are the ONLY method of payment accepted. If you forget your chequebook, you will not be able to remove items from the wardrobe. In addition to the hire fee, you will also be required to leave a deposit against damages. Items that are returned late will also incur additional charges.
