Drama Officer

The Drama Officer is a university employee based at the Burton Taylor Studio, and is the link between university adminstration and the student body. The Drama Officer this year is Barney Norris, a friendly recent graduate. Feel free to come and have a chat - just press the buzzer marked ‘Offices’ at the Burton Taylor.

He is also on the panels which decide on the programming of the three central Oxford theatres (Oxford Playhouse, Old Fire Station and Burton Taylor Studio) and administers applications for underwriting from the Cameron Mackintosh Drama Fund. If you ever have any questions about any aspect of student drama, do not hesitate to contact the Drama Officer. He is always on hand to advise or assist you, or can put you in touch with any of the many drama societies, groups or theatres if necessary.

The Drama Officer’s Newsletters are the essential weekly email round-up of all drama-related news, including theatre listings, auditions and application deadlines. It is mailed to over 2500 students and to subscribe sign up at Freshers’ Fair or email your name and year of graduation to drama.officer@admin.ox.ac.uk.
